Given the importance of these documents, here at Improve we have been and continue to work closely with employers throughout the food and drink industry and its various sectors.
It is important that employers work in partnership with Improve so that new and emerging occupations, as well as trends and skills issues, can be captured. This understanding will then inform the development of both Standards and Qualifications.
The Occupational Map gives a breakdown of the various occupations in the industry, as well as provides an insight into the issues that influence these job roles, with this including recruitment and industry trends.
You can access the noted version of the Occupational Map document, which is currently open for consultation. All those with a vested interest in the food and drink industry are invited to provide their feedback and comments.
When the final version of the Occupational Map document is available you will be able to access both the whole document and its various sections:

The Functional Map provides a detailed breakdown of the functions required to carry out the wide range of diverse occupational roles in the industry. Once these functions have been identified they are then mapped to the Standards we develop. You can use the Functional Map to link specific Standards to each functional area.
The noted version of the Functional Map is currently open for consultation and we welcome all feedback and comments. The final version of Functional Map will also be available as a whole document and its different sections:
