This work is following up on previous Improve research from 2005, which found that 74 per cent of employers which had taken on migrant workers reported a positive impact on productivity and profits.
The research was conducted to provide reliable, up-to-date and detailed information on the employment of migrant workers in order to inform the industry and help employers to maximise the opportunities this group of workers can bring to the UK.
