Improve Proficiency Qualifications

Here at Improve, we have listened to what employers have said about their skills needs, and we are currently in the process of developing a brand new framework for a family of Improve Proficiency Qualifications (IPQs).

This range of Qualifications is aimed at raising skills levels and performance across the food and drink workforce.

IPQs focus on the development and recognition of competence at work, and as a result of this they are ideal to use in workplace training and assessment systems.

They will be essential to skills development, driving up performance and increasing productivity in food and drink companies, and have numerous benefits including:

Increasing productivity in the workplaceIncreasing productivity in the workplace
Supporting individual training needs and different types of training

These new Qualifications have been developed through working in partnership with employers to ensure that individuals have the exact skills needed to perform reliably and consistently at work.

The knowledge content of IPQs is designed to support both those who need to gain a basic understanding of a particular area, and those who want to develop more detailed knowledge and a greater understanding.

IPQs demonstrate and recognise competency. They give employers and individuals the opportunity to select the competences which are critical to performance at work, as well as support career progression.

This new approach to Qualifications is flexible and meets employer needs. It helps to develop the skills of the industry's workforce and produce the technicians and managers of tomorrow.
