How can we ensure an adequate supply of food scientists and technologists (FSTs) in the UK?
Improve is working with the Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) to plan an event, which will consider how through industry wide efforts we can together address the shortage of FSTs.
The aim of the day is to build a shared understanding of the current position and the key issues to be addressed. The event will identify a range of ways to tackle the issues and to identify preferred solutions and the actions which need to be taken.
Keynote speakers on the day will include Jack Matthews, CEO of Improve and Professor Jack Pearce from the IFST.
This free event will take place at the DEFRA Innovation Centre in Reading on Wednesday 10th September. Both morning and afternoon sessions with workshops will take place and lunch will be included.
