Our LMI research project gives employers and training providers the opportunity to share thoughts and ideas about how LMI is used and how it can be improved.
The project will run until the start of August and the information gathered will help us to determine whether the content of our current LMI profiles meets employer and training provider needs, as well as help us to identify additional features which are not currently available. The research also aims to discover the most appropriate channels to market and how LMI should be distributed.
The objectives of this research include measuring overall awareness of Improve LMI, as well as understanding how it is used by employers and training providers, and what will be required from LMI in the future.
Improve’s role in providing reliable LMI for the food and drink industry requires the gathering, analysis and interpretation of demand and supply-side data based on employer skills and training needs.
It is anticipated that LMI will be required at a regional level in both Scotland and Wales, and this will require further investment in the National Employer Skills Needs Surveys. In preparation for this we are gathering feedback to assess LMI requirements.
