Improve has developed an integrated framework for Modern Apprenticeships for the food and drink industry, which was launched in December 2007. The framework is part of the overall qualifications reform strategy for the food and drink manufacturing industry, following on from the launch of SVQs.
This development will mean that employees and learners from any food and drink sector will be able to take part in one programme of learning.
The programme combines the best of the previous modern apprenticeship qualifications and learning, whilst offering flexibility and choice to both employers and learners.
