Food and Drink Industry Young Apprenticeships in England and Wales

Young Apprenticeships are an exciting new learning programme designed for 14-16 year olds.

The programme is designed for Year 10 and 11 pupils who would like to follow a vocational programme of learning as an alternative to traditional academic/class based study.

Pupils continue to study the National Curriculum three days a week and then spend an average of two days a week on the Young Apprenticeship programme. They will learn in a variety of settings, which include studying for vocational qualifications and 50 days work experience.

The Young Apprenticeship in Food Manufacture

The Young Apprenticeship in Food Manufacture is made up of a mixture of skills, training, class based learning and work experience.
